My past 2-3 weeks

I've had a brilliant couple of weeks, I love weeks like this where you have so much to do and you just love your life so much! I mean, next week I will be either crying or wanting to just go out, get wasted and burn all my books and folders from the past two weeks. This week I went to the Xfactor twice, mainly to see the GORGEOUS Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland strutting their stuff at the press launch. Below (Not my photography) is a picture of the fabulous judges at the Press Launch yesterday, they were over two hours late and took an hour to travel down the red carpet apparently.

I don't mind though, because the interviews they conducted were true and honest. Gary was looking stylish with his purple shirt and his waistcoat along with the girls, who were looking like total divas. After the long wait while they took their pictures etc, I was then REFUSED entry to the screening, but everything's still good- I'm going to try and get some priority tickets to the Xfactor live shows. I have never really liked Xfactor, but this year I just can't get enough of the show! (And Mr Barlow!). In December, I might even cry because he won't be on TV every Saturday and Sunday.

Either way, I had a ticket to Bootcamp the next day so I prepared because there was a forecast of torrential rain. And like a genius, I didn't decide to bring an umbrella with me! Due to my all-nighter the night before, I was convinced that I would actually be able to sleep that night as I lay in my bed at 10pm, but still at 1am I was staring at the ceiling wondering why my body had not given in to obvious tiredness. So up I jumped out of bed and on the laptop, where I skype until 6AM before I got ready, as I was to meet my friend at 7:30AM.
When you are not in a rush the Metropolitan Line decides to run efficiently, arriving exactly as you step on the platform, you're probably thinking 'Well that is good timing' but it wasn't, I ended up at Wembley arena at 7:38AM. Bootcamp's doors were due to open at 11AM.

In the first 100 for X-Factor Bootcamp!
I LOVE how they put all those metal fences up to keep the queue in but when you arrive first, you are literally going around and around and around and around until you eventually die of tiredness and want to dive head-first toward the floor. And you're not allowed to sit down-brilliant. This was getting better and better by the minute. I Then got involved in an overly petty argument that I had jumped the queue, which of course I HAD, but I wasn't going to have a fight over this with saddos who had queued there since 6AM. This picture shows the utter brilliance of being the first in the queue and all the thousands of people behind you, and what a matter of half an hour can make to where you sit in the Arena. It was an anything but 'Nice' wait as the puffy grey clouds above us looked set to give us a month's rain. But it didn't, and we arrived into Wembley safe and dry. Wembley Arena really need to sort out their policies though, I was one of the first hundred in and I got quite bad seats while the latecomers received seats RIGHT in the paths of the judges. Jealous much!
I wasn't in the mood  to complain so I settled down to the acts and enjoyed my day thoroughly and I actually didn't manage to fall asleep, despite having had one hour sleep in the two days. I particularly enjoyed Goldie Cheung (Yes she somehow made it to the end of bootcamp!), although I didn't have a clue who she was then because the first episode of the X-Factor wasn't to air until the Saturday coming. This amazingly blurry picture  to your right shows what happens when you want more than just a hug with Gary Barlow! Yes, I did nearly get kicked out for taking this picture!
The people waiting for the afternoon session however, didn't have much luck, as a month's worth of torrential rain poured on them as they waited in the cold and wet. Honestly, I've never felt as sorry as I have for those ten thousand people in my life, except for Arsenal fans getting slaughtered 8-2 by United, I will comment on this later. I may have been tired, but Roycey (Follow him!: @officialroycey) and his constant joking and laughing was the only thing keeeping me awake. Trust me you will see him on your TV screen pretty soon, if you haven't seen him on the Xtra Factor already!

On Thursday 25th August, I was one of the 750,000 teenagers who actually got out of bed before 9AM this summer and arrive at school to collect the two pieces of paper which would have such a massive effect on the rest of our lives and anything we wish to do in the next four years. Twelve years of mainstream education, which had all built-up to this one tense day that could make or break you! It didn't help that it was pouring with rain, my mum was to open my envelope and that I had hardly missed any of the 350 people in my year. But anyway, I was up bright and early to listen to Mr Barlow on The Chris Moyles Show, which of course brightened up my day before it had even begun! And in the rain, I was off to collect my GCSE results. I am not looking forward to A-Level results day ATALL, it will be twice as bad as the gut feeling I had on that day. Well, I gave it to my mum and she thankfully screamed with happiness. #WIN These two bits of paper are what made sure I got into Sixth form and hopefully gets me into uni.

GCSE results, my school are so cheap they printed over the bottom #fail
Enough of me constantly talking about how gorgeous Gary Barlow and Kelly Rowland are and everything to do with my life and daily occurances, I will begin the topic of something I have been ashamed to be a part of for these past few weeks, yes I know half of my friends will already know what I'm talking about. Being a fan of Tottenham Hotspur. I honestly don't know how I have been able to watch my team get absolutely HAMMERED these past two weeks, it has been an incredibly embarrassing couple of weeks for most London teams. The only thing within football I am particularly elated by, is that my second team Liverpool have been on brilliant form at the moment. Suarez especially, he's scored every game! But anyway, back onto tottenham, we have conceded 8 goals and scored 1 in two games. You know you're in trouble when a centre back scores the first goal of the season at home! It's heartbreaking when you log onto the team's website and have to witness this:
"I'm here to score goals" - well I would bloody hope so!
I have always hated Manchester City and words are simply not enough to explain how much of a burning passion I have for the club and any supporters I am not friends or acquaintances (Excuse the spelling) with. We have Liverpool next week, which again probably means we are going to lose and stay in a nice comfortable 20th place, with 0 points from a possible 9. After today's game I stated to my mum that Tottenham and their fans need to go hide in a dark corner for preferable for next month, that was of course before I saw the Manchester United-Arsenal game. After last week's disaster with liverpool, I was expecting a decent victory but not an 8-2 mauling. It almost looked as though Arsenal were allowing them to put the ball in the back of the net. Match of The Day 2 tonight shall be highly entertaining, 20 goals in just 4 games! I don't think that feat has been achieved for YEARS. Highly embarrassing, and I wouldn't be suprised if I see in The Sun tomorrow that Arsene Wenger has been sacked. It is currently Bank Holiday Sunday, and I am looking forward to what is possibly my last lie-in before I go to enroll at Sixth Form on Tuesday and begin my journey into the world of work.

Recent events and the coming season

If Sunday's community shield match at Wembley is anything to go by, looks like Manchester City will be in for a shocking Premier League season, as they squandered a 2-0 lead against football giants Manchester United. I cannot express the utter distaste I have at the mentality of the owners of City, this 'I have millions so I can buy the title,' - the same attitude Roman Abromavich had but look where Chelsea have ended up. United may be in debt, but at least they are winning titles, buying and selling within the transfer market and also giving new talent such as Ashley Young a chance to shine. As much as I have always liked Ashley Young, I think he stands out more as "Aston Villa's winger" rather than "Just one of those players at Manchester United" but he was drawn in by the prospect of higher wages, actually WINNING a trophy and having to fight for a place in a highly talented squad. Despite this, as the seasons go on, I am beginning to lose interest in football as the game lacks the passion and drive previously displayed, and instead becomes more money-orientated and players taking their eye off the ball too often (I.E their social life). Not for me to make a judgement, but I really do believe that the game has almost become alike a reality show

Before I comment anymore on my predictions for the season, I will actually have to look into the squads and how I predict each team is going to fare this season. I am also thoroughly surprised at the decision NOT to postpone Tottenham's first game of the season against Everton on Saturday, although Tottenham High Road is barely recognisable after the rampage which took place on the streets on Saturday, as the picture below shows.
Us as a club have a brilliant prospective season ahead of us, qualifying for the Europa league this year and finishing just below the top 4. However, with Liverpool's recent strengthening of their squad, I do believe they are in with a chance of making at least the top 5 this coming 2011/12 season. As a Tottenham fan myself, I am concerned for children, the less able and women around being this area, just incase trouble does occur again. It is simply too dangerous to have 35k+ of people milling around the streets, at risk of minor injuries. Also, the police force has been stretched to it's limits and does not need the problem of rowdy football fans, although this seems to only be a minority of fans. I mirror Harry Redknapps view about recent events in Tottenham as 'Appalling' but I admire his faith in the community and I am wishing him the best in the coming season, (And crossing my fingers he doesn't get offered the England job!)

FINALLY I manage it!

I'm new to this so bare with me. God, after over a week of trying to figure out how this Blogging thing works, I'm finally typing and ready to update everyone and anyone on the opinions I have regarding current affairs and recent events which concern me. The topic of each post I put up may change, and all the opinions on this are my own. And so I begin...
